Hi guys, i'm a bit new on this forum, and i have some question about the assassin.
I'm trying a classic moebius/death blossom (and by ural hammer) with some discord N and it's work, even in HM. But in WoC quests, i have some troubles on the quest "Tracking the Corruption" in HM. NM, it was real easy (didn't noticed it had waves XD), but in HM....

Problems encountered:
-Empathy (even with 5 antihex...)
-The waves (cant move often) + massive aoe damage (we need to move!)

I looked many threads about it, and if i had some answers about positionning, etc... many builds needs another main prof (Mo bound) or the account heroes (3 me, 3 rt, etc...).

Do you have a tip (or a build) for success as assassin? Perma SF can help? SY?

Try going a Deadly Arts Caster Assassin instead. Assasin's can run an Assasin's Promise build (funnily enough) just aswell as any other caster profession.

Also, you could just bring multiple ways to control the damage from Empathy. Unconditional damage reduction like Shelter or There's Nothing to Fear (if you have a Para friend) will help. You might also try some Spell Immunity (Spellbreaker, Shadowform) somewhere in your build, or perhaps Peace & Harmony for short bursts of hex near-immunity.

Alternatively, you could just try and power-heal through the empathy damage, countering as much as it as you can with health-gain on attack skills (Vigorous Spirit, Live Vacariously, Order of the Vampire, Blood Bond, etc) or whatnot.

Bring Shield of Absorption and/or Shielding Hands for tanking attacks and attacking through empathy. In reference to [http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/t...+corru ption], the human prot isn't required and the builds are silly, the positioning is correct. You will want to move heroes father back. Bring one Panic mesmer and micro it, the casters like to ball together but you don't want the hero casting on melee. Use your dagger spam with SY and an ST rit. I would advise not to use an MM as it may attract patrolling groups, but that's your decision. Kill all the melee first, you'll be able to push kills even with healers as long as you keep Panic microed on the caster part.

I stomped the previous quests with that.

And for this quest, i tried many many things (like A/RT full spirit, etc...), but i still fail.

Why have you got 8 resses? 1 of which is terrible (By Urals Hammer) 1 of which is 2sec cast? And on the monk??

Take a look at how your heros are runed.Health is incredibly low right across your party,yours especially given that you are an Assassin.

You have Critical Agility but you haven't cut your attack chain to Golden Phoenix - Death Blossom - Moebius Strike? I would probably expect Mark of Pain somewhere too.

The other bars look fairly standard but the monk worries me and I have no real solution to offer on that,I've never used them.

Their HP is really low - Livia is at 375. I think you need to adjust Insignias and Runes and, as Calista pointed out, take a closer look at each build.

Take it as a chance to improve you heroes, both in builds and gear (as said above).

Also, be sure to stay in the corner behind Chi, because this way you'll face the waves on only 1 side (as long as you do not aggro and the right).

Last but not least, this is how i did it on my sin (forget the wrong attunement on the ele, facepalmed when i've seen it).

Wasn't easy(it was a couple of weeks before the nerf of the quest), but apart a couple of deaths nothing to say. SY! is what really helps keeping heroes alive.

(Ps: a friend of mine use, always on sin, bonder + SF tanking + tons of mes to kill. Just reporting)

i think i can run you through it, did it with sin + monk hero alone. did several times in groups for tips, but since the change im not sure if itll work, not to mention zei rei is annoying. if he didnt res automatically itd be helpful

As stated....8 rezzes??, also....no Splinter Weapon?

That one skill alone will help you tremendously.

I'd suggest what the others have but add Splinter Weapon to one of your heroes.I've also never extensively used Discord but have always found a basic Sabway build with an SS necro, a spirit spamming rit and support Para to be vastly more effective for a melee build than Discord which imo tends to suit casters.

Change it up and good luck to you.If all else fails just run a SY! spammer and steamroll it.

kind of late to this quest line.. just did this one in hm- thing is though.. some reason I went in the first time (normal quest in hm- just forgot) and streamrolled it.. then the hm mission, it just seems harder- had to finally flag them in the right spots to get them bunched up.. the lagoon was a biatch too until I found could pull that guy =]

just when thought my custom builds were better than the rest.. might be time for some serious tweaking

it's definitely possible without cons.. but expect to die a couple times.. no SY and heros were using death pack signets
